Our Purpose/ Mission

Save the Lost

Jesus clearly stated that He came "...to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10

1 Timothy 1:15 states "that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners..."

Christ has now ascended into heaven and left us here to be His ambassadors and carry on His work of saving the lost. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20

Our purpose is to share the gospel of Christ with Daytona and the entire world. 1 Thessalonians 1:8

Grow the Saved

New Christians' greatest need is to immediately get food and nourishment for their inner man.  Where does that come from?  It comes from God's Word.

"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby."  1 Peter 2:2

God's goal for believers is that they become fully mature Christians who are allowing Christ to live through them in every area of their lives.

While no Christian is sinless, the Bible teaches that children of God should be growing and changing into the likeness of Christ. Romans 8:29, 12:1

Equip the Faithful

Once people begin to grow and learn God's Word, it is the church's job to provide training and equip them so that they can take what they are learning and use it to impact others in ministry.

Church leadership should identify the faithful and provide training so that they are equipped with the knowledge and practical tools they need to serve Christ in a meaningful ministry. A faithful person who has been equipped for ministry is impacting and changing lives!

Send Forth Workers

When a faithful person is equipped to serve the Lord, that person becomes a worker for Christ.
The mission is not simply to fill its members full of Bible knowledge.  This is part of the mission and is very important, but it isn't the ultimate goal.

The mission of the church is to equip faithful people so that they can be sent forth to actively serve the Lord, impacting and changing lives.

Our desire is to see God send forth workers to serve in the ministries here at Breath of Life, but also to send forth workers to serve in other ministries around the world.

We believe that the measure of a great church is not its seating capacity but its sending capacity. We desire to be a sending church.
